Emily Harris Foundation

The Emily Harris Foundation is one of our most valued fund-raisers.

The Foundation was formed by the family of Emily Nasia who was born 6 weeks prematurely on 5th September 2006 weighing just 3lb1/2 oz.  During the pregnancy she was diagnosed with Truncus Arteriosis - a serious heart condition- and is was in doubt whether she would survive until her birth.  Against the odds, Emily was born and survived for nearly 5 months spending much of this time in King's Mill Hospital. The family believe they were very blessed to share in Emily's short life which was made possible and much easier due to the wonderful care Emily received by dedicated, caring and compassionate staff across many hospitals but primarily by the staff on the Neonatal Unit at King's Mill Hospital.

More information about the aims of the foundation and the ongoing fundraising events can be found on their website - www.emilyharrisfoundation.org
