Long term partnership arrangement update
Following our recent Care Quality Commission report and the challenges for improvement highlighted within it, we have been in discussion with other NHS trusts and their regulators to discuss how a long term partnership arrangement might help us begin to address the issues raised by the CQC to rapidly improve the quality of services we provide for local people.

You will have no doubt have seen in the local media and other communications that a period of public consultation is underway about healthcare in Ashfield. We’d like to encourage you, your colleagues, family and friends to make your views known about these proposed changes.
The consultation is being undertaken by Mansfield and Ashfield Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) which is the new collective of 31 GP practices in Mansfield and Ashfield – which is soon to take over the commissioning of local health services from Nottinghamshire PCT. Read more about how you can get involved and have your say as a member.
Great news for Foundation Trust members – anyone who is a member of Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust can benefit from the NHS Discounts scheme which has previously only been available to NHS staff.
All you need to do to start enjoying the benefit of the NHS Discounts scheme is to log onto their website at www.nhsdiscounts.com go to ‘register now’ and fill out the form. Please select the ‘NHS Foundation Trust member’ option on the question ‘do you work for the NHS?’
If you would like to learn more about a service or a particular condition then please come along to one of our member events. Events held in the past have included cancer services, diabetes, food & nutrition, maternity services & paediatrics and infection control.
