Who we are

• A voice for people living with cancer 
• We are a local group of patients and carers who have experience of living with cancer
• We aim to work in partnership with local health, social and voluntary professionals to improve cancer services

What we do

• We seek to co-ordinate and promote the views of people and their families living with cancer
• We advise the Health Service about cancer care in Central Notts from the users and carers point of view
• We link with and support local and national self help groups and cancer charities
• We meet regularly with professionals to discuss issues of importance to people living with cancer
• We communicate directly with the Nottingham Cancer Centre and Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
• We raise public awareness of cancer symptoms and prevention
• We contribute to public consultations on cancer issues
 

However we are not a support group or complaints service.

You can be involved in many ways, for example you can:

• Tell us your views on ways of improving cancer services
• Join a network of people on our mailing list and comment on issues we are discussing
• Act as a link between self help groups and the Forum
• Join the forum
