£300 raised for Stroke Unit

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust would like to thank Mr Slack and his two daughters, who presented a donation of £300 to Ward 53 on Monday 20 April. Mr Slack's daughter suffered a stroke last year and had a long stay on the ward. The donation was raised at a bingo night in Kirkby where the family live. Friends of Newark raise £800
The Friends of Newark Hospital held their Easter Raffle Draw on Thursday 2 April 2015. First prize was a luxury Easter hamper. Tickets have been sold at the main entrance and in the Mary Taylor Coffee Lounge and Outpatients' Tea Bar over the past few weeks and have raised £800 towards the League's fundraising efforts.

Easter events raise money for Dementia Care Appeal
Huge thanks go to our volunteers, who held a number of fundraising events over Easter to raise funds for the Trust's Dementia Care Appeal. Their tireless efforts have raised a fantastic £1281.97.
Thanks also go to the Co-op Distribution Centre who raised £188.15 for the appeal by successfully doing a sponsored silence.
Thanks to all Easter egg donators
The Trust would like to thank the Volunteers department for their fantastic efforts organising presentations of Easter eggs from Trust staff and members of the public.
Companies involved in donating included Co-operative Travel in Mansfield, Natwest, Essential Recruitment, After Dark and Notts County Football Club, and were gratefully recieved by Ward 25 and children's services, clinics, the Emergency Department and elderly wards.
These generous donations really made a difference to people in hospital over the Easter period - thank you to everyone who took the time and effort to donate.
Quarrydale Academy bake sale raises £340 for Dementia Care

Pupils of Quarrydale Academy organised a bake sale in aid of Dementia Care. They raised £340 which was donated to Ward 52 Monday 9 March.
