Little Millers Day Nursery

Members of the general public, as well as NHS employees, are eligible to access the childcare facilities onsite at King’s Mill Hospital.

Little Millers Day Nursery has a number of childcare places available for children aged between six weeks and five years.

School holiday care is also available, by arrangement, for children between the ages of five to eight years.

At its recent Ofsted inspection in January 2012, the nursery was praised for children making good progress in all areas of their learning and development.  Inspectors found that all children were active learners, happy and confident; engaging and showing good curiosity in their play.  The facility maintained its overall rating as "good", with its partnership with parents rated as "outstanding."

Little Millers is open Monday to Friday from 7.30am - 6pm, offering various childcare sessions following the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

Children are grouped and cared for according to their age.  Each age range has their own room base, where qualified experienced staff members provide structured learning opportunities and care to meet individual needs.  There are also well-equipped secure outdoor play areas.

The nursery aims to enhance the development of all its children and give them the best possible start in life within a happy, secure and stimulating learning environment.

In addition to supporting children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, they also welcome children and families who speak English as an additional language.

Located in a purpose-built single storey building on Millers Way, Little Millers Day Nursery is located behind Morrisons, accessed from the mini-roundabout.
