Children attending King’s Mill Hospital are set to benefit after a kind donation from Mansfield 103.2 in their annual King’s Mill Toy appeal.

Members of the team arrived at the hospital today with a huge donation of toys and a cheque for over £3,000, in what is their 13th year of organising the annual appeal.

The radio has been inviting local businesses to make donations and raise money for children’s services at the hospital, organising a whole host of collection points around the local area.

Claire Roberts, Play Specialist on the children’s ward at the hospital, said: “We rely a lot on donations to the ward and we are thankful to everyone who has taken the time to donate to the annual toy appeal. Having a variety of toys available helps give a sense of normality to children in what can be a very strange and scary situation for them.”

Over the year’s tens of thousands of pounds have been donated by the radio station to benefit children’s services at the hospital.

A huge thank you to all the local businesses who contributed to this appeal, it really does mean a lot.
