Our organisation

We are a Foundation Trust and our decisions are made by the Board of Directors and overseen by our Council of Governors.

As a foundation trust, we are:

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors oversees the work of our Trust and is responsible for all operational and strategic issues, business and finance, while ensuring the quality and safety of healthcare services delivered by the Trust.

The leadership of each of our clinical divisions report to the board. They are responsible for the operational management within their areas.

Board meetings are held in public six times a year.

Council of Governors

The Council of Governors represents our Trust members, including patients, the public, and staff. Most governors are elected by the members. They help link us to the local community and represent the views of members and the public in how the Trust is run and developed.

Members

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is accountable to our patients, staff and stakeholders and people from each of these groups can become members.

Membership provides the local community with a way to express their support for local hospitals and to play an active role in their development.

Services

Team SFH is full of dedicated teams and individuals, both on the front-line and behind-the-scenes, who keep our hospitals running and are devoted to maintaining the highest level of patient care. Read more on our services.
