If you have symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) – a high temperature, a new continuous cough, or a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of smell or taste (anosmia) – the advice is to stay at home for 10 days. All members of this household should remain at home for 10 days.

If you think you have symptoms, please do not attend your hospital appointment until you are advised it is safe to do so. Please contact us to rearrange your appointment, or to re-organise treatment and tests.

Update on Sherwood Forest Hospitals’ latest COVID-19 figures - updated 26 February 2021

Sherwood Forest Hospitals’ latest COVID-19 figures include data from our three hospital sites: King’s Mill Hospital, Newark Hospital and Mansfield Community Hospital.

  • We have seen 64 admissions relating to Covid-19 in the seven days to 21 February 2021, compared with 93 for the previous seven days.
  • We have 107 beds occupied by COVID+ patients as of 23 February 2021.
  • Of those 107 beds, 15 were mechanically ventilated.
  • In the week from 13 February 2021, we sadly saw 13 deaths of people who have either tested positive for COVID-19 or where COVID-19 was mentioned on their death certificate.
