Newark Hospital Breast Cancer Services Appeal
Sherwood Forest Hospitals Charity have launched a £40,000 fundraising appeal to purchase a biopsy chair, trolley and two ultrasound probes for the one stop triple assessment breast clinic at Newark Hospital which will open in 2019.

The Newark Hospital Breast Cancer Service Appeal has been awarded £500 from the Asda Green Token Giving Programme. Community Champion Sinead is pictured presenting a cheque to General Manager for Surgery Steve Jenkins.
A 'Pink Day' was held at Newark Hospital where a fantastic £756.10 was raised. Staff and volunteers wore items of pink clothing and there were various stalls including a tombola, cake sale and raffle.
Total raised reaches £36,000
The Rotary Club of Newark kindly donated £2,500 from fundraising activities to the Newark Breast Cancer Service Appeal. Members and their partners attended to present the cheque which Senior Non-Executive Director Tim Reddish accepted.
£33,500 now raised for the Breast Services Appeal
The Friends of Newark Hospital presented a cheque to Sherwood Hospitals Trust Chairman John MacDonald for £6,000 at their recent 61st AGM. The money was raised through sales in the two refreshment areas at Newark Hospital.
A fantastic £5,500 has been donated to purchase a specialist biopsy chair for the new one-stop breast clinic at Newark Hospital by the Southwell Pink Ladies Support Group.
Donations raises appeal to £22,000
Thank you to the Friends of Newark Hospital for their generous donation of £2,000 to the breast appeal from recent raffles, cake sales and a quiz night.
Halfway point of Appeal Reached
Newark Hospital’s Breast Services Fundraising Appeal has reached its halfway point thanks to a generous donation from the Newark Hospital Volunteers.
The volunteers managed to raise £2,500 thanks to a fundraising gift stall, bringing the grand total so far to a brilliant £20,000.
A Valentines Raffle held at Newark Hospital by the League of Friends raised the great amount of £153 for the Breast Cancer Services Appeal.
The winner, Linda McGurick was presented with the flowers and chocolates.
The Friends of Newark Hospital Christmas raffle has raised a whopping £2,039.80 for the Breast Cancer Service Appeal. Thanks to the committee members, officers and hospital volunteers who have given their time to sell tickets.
Christmas jumper day at Newark Hospital raised a fantastic £140.45 for the breast cancer service appeal. Thanks to the Friends of Newark Hospital who collected donations and handed out mince pies to staff & volunteers
The Newark Hospital Christmas Fayre was a great success with crafts, cakes, tombola and Christmas gifts. The fayre raised a fantastic £709.45 for the Breast Cancer Services Appeal.
Thank you to the Collingham Medical Centre Patient Participation Group who kindly donated £140 for the Newark Breast Cancer Service Appeal. This was raised at a coffee morning for the NHS 70th birthday earlier this year.
Volunteers from the Outpatients Tea Bar at Newark Hospital presented a cheque for £6,000 to launch the Breast Cancer Services Appeal.
