Sherwood Forest Hospitals offers first step on the career ladder for Aspiring Medics
Sixth form or postgraduate students who are interested in a medical career are being offered the chance to take part in Sherwood Forest Hospitals accredited Aspiring Medics work experience placement between Monday 26 June and Friday 30 June 2017.
The placement week will include spending time with qualified doctors, medical students, nurses, laboratory staff and volunteers and is open to students who have the necessary GCSE or A Level grades to allow them to apply to medical school.
After induction, students will be working with radiology, audiology and other services at King's Mill Hospital, Newark Hospital and Mansfield Community Hospital.
With a record number of 25 students booked on to February’s work experience induction, the Trust has placed over 110 students in a work experience placement since April 2016; a 15% increase on last year.
Thanks to all those members of staff who support the Trust’s Work Experience Programme and provide a helping hand to the future workforce.
If you know somebody who would like to apply for the Aspiring Medics placement, an application form can be downloaded via the Health Education England website at http://tinyurl.com/hak437g.
