Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers young people the chance to undertake a week’s work experience at our hospitals. We recognise the importance of work experience, not only to provide students and adults with an insight into potential NHS careers, but as a means of initial contact with potential employees of the future.
We cater for a variety of needs depending on the age and level of study of each student. In most cases, placements are provided to students to coincide with their dates for work experience week, and may be for one week or two depending on the course requirements.
There is a range of placements to choose from including:
- Clinical Assistant
- Occupational Therapy
There are also non-clinical placements available including Finance and Administration.
The “NHS Work Experience” includes students from all Trusts.
The SFH students are Daisy and Rachael. Tom and Claire are employees at SFH/NHIS.
