Below are services that we regularly use and refer to, however every region/area of the UK will have its own collection of substance misuse services.  If you require information on these, consider contacting either FRANK or the ADLT.

Change Grow Live (CGL)

Community Substance Misuse Service across Nottinghamshire.  They encourage self- referrals via telephone or alternatively, a referral can be made via their website.

Derbyshire Recovery Partnership

Comparable service to CGL for individuals living in Derbyshire (excluding Derby City) who are concerned about their drug and alcohol use. They encourage self-referral but will accept referral from other agencies in certain instances.

Early Help Unit

Support service for children (under the age of 18) who are experiencing problems with alcohol and drugs.  Referral can either be via self- referral or via an EHAF (Early Help Assessment Form).

Alcoholics Anonymous 

One of many self-help groups that are available.  They offer numerous, regular group meetings aimed at supporting people towards lifelong abstinence from alcohol.

Federation of Drug and Alcohol Professionals (FDAP)

The professional body for the substance misuse field, helping to improve the services that exist.  Website includes a directory of independent practitioners.
