MiSSTI / On-line Testing  / (On-line booking)

Although we encourage individuals to have a full STI screen, there may be instances where you only require a limited screen.

As part of our service, My-Sexual-Health offer a mini Screen for Sexually Transmitted infections or "MiSSTI"

This MiSSTI service screens you for genital gonorrhoea and chlamydia, as well as syphilis and HIV infection.

The MiSSTI service is only suitable if you are asymptomatic, that is you do not have any symptoms suggestive of an infection (such as discharge, pain passing urine, rashes, lumps/bumps or pain in the abdomen or testes).

Additionally, the MiSSTI service is only suitable if you:

  • are over 18 years of age
  • have not been in sexual contact with a person known to have an STI,
  • are not pregnant (females only);
  • have not been sexually assaulted.

It is NOT for patients requiring contraception advice/treatment.

Additional details can be found on our information leaflet about the MiSSTI service

By making an on-line booking for a MiSSTI screen, you are confirming that you fit the above criteria.

Should you attend and this not be the case, then you will be required to make an alternative appointment by telephoning:  01623672260

Please be aware that postal kits are also available if you are asymptomatic.

As with our MiSSTI screen, these postal kits screen for genital gonorrhoea and chlamydia, as well as syphilis and HIV infection.

Patients with a Nottinghamshire postcode can access free postal chlamydia / gonorrhoea / HIV / syphilis testing kits free of charge by visiting SH.UK (https://www.sh.uk/welcome).

If you request a test, please remember to return it !

The vast majority of people take their own blood sample with minimal difficulties but some do struggle, so we suggest watching the video at this link for tips on how to best do this:
