Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Centre

Macmillan resource centre entrance

The Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Centre is a Trust service delivered in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support.

The Centre is staffed by Cancer Information and Support specialists who can help you find the information and Support that you need. We work closely with our colleagues across the Trust and beyond to ensure your support needs are met.

We offer a range of information relating to cancer and its management and are able to signpost you to organisations and events to support your wellbeing.  We support anybody affected by cancer, including those worried about cancer, those with or who have had cancer, and those supporting people with cancer. We are here to listen to your worries and concerns.

You do not need a referral or appointment to use the service. We are open Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4pm (excluding bank holidays), and you are more than welcome to drop in during these times.

Outside of our opening hours support can be accessed using the Macmillan Support Line on 0800 808 00 00, which is open 8am to 8pm, seven days a week.

Cancer support app

Our healthcare manages an app that provides information and support for patients.

These localised apps contain information about your condition, lifestyle pointers, local and national resources.

You can access contacts information, clinic schedules and emergency information should you get into trouble.

Downloading the app

The app can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play Store by searching for 'MyHeatlhBoost'.

Once the app has downloaded, search for the 'Sherwood Forest Hospitals Cancer App'.
