Clinical Assessment and Treatment Service

The Musculoskeletal Clinical Assessment and Treatment Service (MCATS) is provided by specialist MSK clinicians who are experts on how to diagnose and manage MSK conditions.

MCATS can co-ordinate your care and treatment by working closely with a wide range of specialists within the MSK Together Partnership. You will be seen by the right specialists when you need it, and be offered treatment that will improve your MSK health and outcomes. 

The MCATS service can refer for further diagnostic tests like X-rays or MRI scans, and can offer other treatment interventions like steroid injections for a range of joint and tendon problems.

If your GP refers you to the MSK services to consider specific treatments like joint replacement surgery, the MCATS service will discuss all the options available to you and work with you to help you get the best possible outcome.

This service provides clinic-based appointments across Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood.
