Referrals to the pain management service

Inpatient referrals can be made by healthcare professionals directly to the pain nurse specialists, sometimes at the request of the patient.

Outpatient referrals for non-malignant persistent pain can be made by a consultant physician or a GP.

We had a change in commissioning in 2019 and we cannot accept referrals for patients who have family doctors in the NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICB. Instead these have to go to the following address:
