Urology
Our urology services include care and treatment for conditions such as:
- Bladder outflow obstruction
- Bladder pain
- Bladder stones
- Erectile difficulties
- Incontinence
- Inguino-scrotal pathology - hydrocele, epididymal cysts, varicocele
- Renal stones
- Urological cancer (bladder, prostate, renal, testis, ureter)
- Voiding dysfunction.
The service offers diagnostic procedures, including:
- Cystoscopy
- Prostate biopsies
- Urodynamics (both X-ray and standard)
- Uroflowmetry (flow rate).
The department works in partnership with Nottingham University Hospitals to offer comprehensive care for emergency urological treatment and management of more complex conditions requiring specialist intervention. Conditions such as PCNL, lithotripsy, robotic surgery, reconstruction, sacral neuromodulation, and interventional radiology procedures.
