Wellbeing champions

Wellbeing Champions are colleagues who work in all areas of the Trust, promoting and supporting the health and wellbeing of their colleagues by identifying and signposting them to relevant resources.

They act as a point of contact for staff, offering support, raising awareness of health issues, and connecting them with local and national health and wellbeing service.

FAQs about becoming a wellbeing champion

A suggested four hours per month, but this does not have to be logged. We encourage all wellbeing champions to discuss the role with their manager prior to expressing your interest, so they are able to support you.

This can be done in work time and does not have to be in your own time. Any questions contact the Wellbeing Team via email on sfh-tr.wellbeing@nhs.net or telephone 01623 622515 extension 3780.

Show your manager the role description and outline what the network meetings and signposting are. Ask how this could be linked in. It may help if there is a couple of champions in your area to support the team.
