Student nurses, midwives and paramedic
Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is built on the dedication and hard work of our staff and we are very proud of our highly-skilled workforce.
We offer a strong commitment to your well-being and development and provide the best possible support from experienced staff in your chosen area.
We play a vital role in the education and training of doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals. We have well-established links with the universities of Lincoln, Nottingham, Derby, Sheffield Hallam University and Nottingham Trent University in both under and post-graduate education.
The Trust provides placements for student midwives, nurses and paramedics in a large variety of different areas. We also provide placements to support Return to Practice students and elective placements for second years (if your university supports these).
As well as a rewarding placement, the Trust offers a range of benefits including:
- A central Midlands location easily accessible from many areas.
- Reduced rate of on-site parking.
- Restaurant and other retail outlets.
- Opportunity to find out about working for the Trust, the benefits and our robust Preceptorship programme.
- Twenty-four-hour access to a dedicated library and knowledge service where you can access the latest evidence-based practice information.
