Student nurses

If you want to make a difference to people's lives as well as enhance your learning experiences, consider a placement with us.

The Trust is built on the dedication and hard work of our staff and we are very proud of our highly-skilled workforce.

Perhaps there may be an area of particular interest to you.  It may be somewhere you are thinking about working once qualified.  We have teams who have been specifically prepared to take students for their elective placement such as tissue viability, infection control, drugs and alcohol liaison and safeguarding.  These are in addition to those who also take students on their regular placements such as genitourinary medicine, Newark Hospital's Urgent Care Centre and the research and innovation team.  Perhaps your learning would be enhanced by spending your time in two related areas - we are happy to look at bespoke placements where appropriate.

We offer a strong commitment to your well-being and development and provide the best possible support from experienced staff in your chosen area.

As well as a rewarding placement, the Trust offers a range of benefits including:

A central Midlands location easily accessible from many areas

Reduced rate ample on-site parking

Accommodation if required

Restaurant and other retail outlets

On-site cash machine

Opportunity to find out about working for the Trust, the benefits and our robust Preceptorship programme

Twenty-four-hour access to a dedicated library and knowledge service where you can access the latest evidence based practice information.

We play a vital role in the education and training of doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals and have well-established links with the universities of Lincoln and Nottingham in both under and post-graduate education.

So, if you are looking to enhance your learning experience in a dynamic forward thinking Trust we want to hear from you!

To access your four week elective placement with us you will be in your second year of nurse training with a University.
