Our priority is to provide wards and departments with competent, reliable, registered staff nurses and health care assistants who will provide a first class service to the community that access our hospitals, ensuring quality, safety and compassion.

Internal Nurse Transfer
The Internal Transfer Scheme is for Band 2 and 3 Health Care Support Workers, Band 4 Nursing Associates and Band 5 Registered Nurses employed by Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
It is a fast-tracked process to support staff to move sideways into a different department or specialty.
The aim of the scheme is to retain these colleagues by simplifying the recruitment process for those wishing to explore internal opportunities that are available at the same grade, but in a different area.
To apply, you must:
- Be a Band 2 or 3 Health Care Support Worker, Band 4 Nursing Associate or Band 5 Registered Nurse employed by Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
- Have worked in your current post for a minimum of six months.
- Have completed your preceptorship if newly qualified.
- Completed the Care Certificate, for Band 2 or 3 Health Care Support Worker.
- Have had an appraisal in the last 12 months.
- Have agreement, approval and support from your current Line Manager or Team Leader.
Many of our departments and managers are looking for these roles to transfer into their services.
