Staff Abuse

Experiencing violence and aggression from patients, visitors or staff should not be part of your job. At Sherwood Forest Hospitals, we recognise that experiencing violence and aggression can lead to psychological distress and physical harm. 

If you experience violence and aggression at work, it is important to report the incident and seek support.

• Speak to your line manager about the incident.
• Report the incident on the DATIX system.
• If you wish to take the matter further, you can also report the incident to the police by completing a police report on the Nottinghamshire Police website or by calling 101.

Please note you need to use a Trust device to access the DATIX system.
