Dietetics

The Nutrition and Dietetics team is made up of registered dietitians and a dietetic assistant. They work across all three of our sites; King's Mill Hospital, Newark Hospital and Mansfield Community Hospital providing dietetic care for both inpatients and outpatients.

Dietitians work in close liaison with other health professionals, including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and speech and language therapists.

Nutritional support

For patients who are malnourished or at risk of malnutrition. Prioritising those who are unable to meet their nutritional needs orally.

The variety of health needs and conditions can include:

• Gastroenterology
• Diabetes
• Oncology
• Paediatrics.

Dietitians also advise the Trust on nutritional standards by being part of the Nutrition Steering Committee and patients and staff catering groups.
