Hospital birth

Women and birthing people using the Birthing unit will have access to one-to-one midwifery care along with support from specialist doctors and a 24-hour epidural service.       

Birthing rooms have facilities for enabling active birth, including access to a birthing pool room for those who wish to use water during birth. We also have mats, birthing balls and birthing stools available for you to use.

Telemetry machines provide wireless and waterproof monitoring to record your baby’s heart rate continuously, if required, and to help you maintain mobility in labour while keeping your baby safe.
