Visiting update

From 1 January 2022, we have taken the difficult decision to suspend adult in-patient visiting in order to help protect our vulnerable patients. Please visit here for more information.

Patient appointments

As we continue to see a rise in our urgent care admissions, a surge in admissions of Covid positive patients, and workforce shortages created by Covid isolation, some appointments for planned care may need to be delayed.

We will continue to prioritise urgent and emergency care and cancer treatments and we will do everything we can to avoid delaying care. If we need to take the difficult decision to delay appointments, we will contact affected patients directly to let them know.

If you do not hear from us, please attend as requested in your appointment letter.

MiSSTI - On-line Booking

Please note that our on-line booking service has been temporarily suspended in view of the Coronavirus situation.

This is to allow patients accessing our service to be assessed appropriately at the time of booking their appointment by telephoning:  01623672260

We apologies for any inconvenience resulting from this decision.

Please be aware that postal kits are still available if you are asymptomatic.

As part of our service, My-Sexual-Health use an online booking service suitable only for individuals wishing to attend for a mini Screen for Sexually Transmitted infections or "MiSSTI"

It is NOT for patients requiring contraception advice/treatment.

This MiSSTI service screens you for genital gonorrhoea and chlamydia, as well as syphilis and HIV infection.

The MiSSTI service is only suitable if you are asymptomatic, that is you do not have any symptoms suggestive of an infection (such as discharge, pain passing urine, rashes, lumps/bumps or pain in the abdomen or testes).

Additionally, the MiSSTI service is only suitable if you:

  • are over 18 years of age
  • have not been in sexual contact with a person known to have an STI,
  • are not pregnant (females only);
  • have not been sexually assaulted.

By making an on-line booking for a MiSSTI screen, you are confirming that you fit the above criteria.

Should you attend and this not be the case, then you will be required to make an alternative appointment by telephoning:  01623672260

Although we encourage individuals to have a full STI screen, there may be instances where you only require a limited screen:
- this might be a self test for chlamydia and gonorrhoea
- a HIV test.

Either can be done through attendance at a My-Sexual-Health clinic but, alternatively, patients over 16yrs of age with a Nottinghamshire postcode can access postal HIV testing kits free of charge by visiting the website;
young persons can access free postal chlamydia/gonorrhoea tests by visiting

If you request a test, please remember to return it !
