From 1 January 2022, we have taken the difficult decision to suspend adult in-patient visiting in order to help protect our vulnerable patients. Please visit here for more information.
As we continue to see a rise in our urgent care admissions, a surge in admissions of Covid positive patients, and workforce shortages created by Covid isolation, some appointments for planned care may need to be delayed.
We will continue to prioritise urgent and emergency care and cancer treatments and we will do everything we can to avoid delaying care. If we need to take the difficult decision to delay appointments, we will contact affected patients directly to let them know.
If you do not hear from us, please attend as requested in your appointment letter.

Posted Friday, July 16, 2021 8:30 AM
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will be held on Tuesday 28 September from 5.30pm until 7.00pm. The meeting will be broadcast live via MS Teams.
The AGM is open to all members of the public and is an opportunity for the Trust to reflect upon its activities, challenges and achievements over the past financial year. There will be a presentation of the Annual Report and Accounts from SFH’s Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Chief Executive, Paul Robinson and the Trust will outline its plans for the year ahead.
Claire Ward, Chair of Sherwood Forest Hospitals said:
“In spite of it being a very challenging year with the pandemic testing our resilience to its limit, our trust has continued to excel and make great progress. We are exceptionally proud of being awarded the HSJ Trust of the Year. The AGM provides us with the opportunity to provide the public with an outline of our future plans as well as the chance to celebrate the incredible work carried out by our colleagues. There will also be the opportunity to pose questions to learn more about our progress and future trajectories. I would like to take this opportunity to invite anyone with an interest in our hospitals to tune in to the live broadcast.”
