Christmas Visiting at Sherwood Forest Hospitals
Posted Tuesday, December 22, 2020 3:24 PM
We have relaxed our visiting policy slightly for Christmas Day and Boxing Day, please see below for further details:
For all adult wards
On Christmas Day and Boxing Day we will be relaxing our visiting slightly and allowing two visitors for each patient for a two hour period per day. This will be organised by the Ward Leader of each ward and visitors will need to arrange an agreed time slot so that the amount of visitors at any one time can be managed on each ward.
For Ward 25 (Children and Young People)
For our younger patients on our paediatric ward, both parents will be allowed to visit on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Emergency Department and Emergency Assessment Unit
Visiting for our Emergency Department and Emergency Assessment Unit will remain the same – please come alone unless you require a carer or are under the age of 16.
Maternity (visiting arrangements for Maternity will be the same as below after Christmas as well)
If you are in labour you can have your birth partner with you when you attend to have your baby, including induction of labour and Caesarean section as well as spontaneous labour.
If you are on the maternity ward birth partners can visit on the maternity ward between 12 noon and 8pm. We also continue with individualised plans for visiting if you have additional needs.
