Breastfeeding and Expressing Milk at Work

Returning from Maternity Leave

Returning to work following Maternity Leave can feel like a huge transition. Finding childcare, settling in sessions, drop off and pickups. Not forgetting the getting back up to speed with what has changed at work.

Some parents will continue to breastfeed/chestfeed their child for months or even years after returning to work. Your line manager will be able to guide you on where to express milk and where to store this. It is important to talk with your line manager at an early opportunity if you think you will need to express milk at work. This will allow them to ensure what you need is in place for your return.

The information in the links here will help you when returning to work while still feeding your child. These are equally helpful for managers.
