Patient Information

You should receive a patient information leaflet when your healthcare professional discusses your procedure with you. You may also receive a copy with your appointment letter.  If you have any queries about your procedure please contact your healthcare professional.

For some procedures you may be asked to prepare by either starving (upper GI procedures) for a few hours or by taking bowel preparation (lower GI procedures). Your healthcare professional will advise you on what to do. It is important that you follow the instructions carefully.
